Previous examples of work undertaken have been:
- Investigation in to the causes of employee absenteeism and subsequent rectification. Causes can include sick building syndrome, stress, boredom, bullying, employees having a second job. In one particular instance the cause was identified and absenteeism was subsequently reduced by a staggering 80%.
- Hazardous substance risk assessment for Government agency. This was a substance that was mandated to be used in a way never anticipated by the manufacturers and the Trade Union had expressed concern as to the potential health effects on the exposed workforce. A full hazardous substances assessment was carried out, the results communicated and explained to employee representatives. Employee fears were allayed.
- Safety and health audits for global manufacturer. The success of this audit programme ensured that the factories in developing countries operated to the same high standards of health and safety as those in UK.
- Machine safety programme as part of a factory refit. The resulting production line was the most productive and accident free within the Group.
- PLC board safety briefings. The Directors were "switched on" to the value of adopting high safety and health standards as a means of employee recruitment and retention.
- Major accident investigations. We have assisted in and led a number of major accident investigations to ascertain the reasons why the accidents happened, identify root causes and set up robust controls to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
- Employee training. A range of bespoke training solutions has been delivered, designed and tailored to the clients specific needs.
- Development of a safety management system. Clients come to us with existing safety systems in an amazing variety of stages of development, occasionally with nothing of substance in place. We have guided many clients to achieve their desired levels of performance, provided a range of documented policies, procedures and systems.
